Naya was known to people when an investigative report by Deadspin proved that she is one behind the whole catfishing drama, someone pretending to be Manti Te’o’s fake dead girlfriend.

Talking, in recent times, about Te’o, she said she was emotionally invested in that relationship. She said she grew feelings and when finally she could not control it anymore, she tried to end things the way she did, by lying.

At present, Naya maintained a distance from the spotlight. Since the controversy faded, she has refrained from giving interviews. Yet, she does wishes that the whole thing with Te’o and Lennay never happened. All this she confessed in the Netflix documentary. Still, the character Lennay did her some good. She explained how it helped her figure out some stuff about herself.

In between, Naya also contacted Te’o to confess and apologize. While Te’o, he ends the Netflix documentary by saying he forgives her.

Ronaiah Naya’s father Titus Tuiasosopo is no more. Often she misses and recalls his memories on social media. Still, she says she chooses to rejoice and celebrate the blessing of having him for 30 years of her life.

Not only Taylor, but their late father also starred at USC from 1990-92.

Apparently,  Ronaiah comes from a family of football players. She too felt the pressure of performing well in it. And for some time she even had good prospects of making it as a football player. However, she left all of that behind. However, she continued to pursue music and lead the church band where her father was a pastor. She also released songs, covers, and originals on a YouTube channel that no longer exists now.
